Jeff is the President of Aegis Strategic. Jeff also hosts The Jeff Crank Show, a conservative talk radio show on Colorado’s 740 KVOR, and owns a real estate investment company in Colorado.

Previously, Crank served as the Chief Operating Officer for Americans for Prosperity and Americans for Prosperity Foundation, and was Colorado State Director for Americans for Prosperity.  He was a candidate for U.S. Congress in 2008 and 2006, Vice President, Government Sales, XAware Corporation, and Senior Vice President for Governmental Affairs for the Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce.  Jeff served on the Washington staff of U.S. Congressman Joel Hefley from 1991-1998.

Jeff’s favorite things to do are pheasant and big game hunting throughout the western United States, but only with his favorite hunting buddies – his son, Joel, daughter, Jessica, and his dog, Indy – a great friend and fierce hunting Hungarian Vizsla.  Jeff has even hunted with his family in Africa.  Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, who has put up with him for a quarter-century, and his daughter, Jessica, who owns his heart.

Aegis Strategic COO Alan Philp has worked in politics and public policy for 25 years.  His career has featured stints as Deputy Chief of Staff for former Colorado Governor Bill Owens, Policy Director for Governor Jeb Bush, Regional Political Director for the Republican National Committee, Regional Political Director for Mitt Romney’s 2007-08 presidential campaign, and Executive Director of the Colorado Republican Party.

Alan hates lima beans, loves his home state of Colorado, and is known to dress up in costume for 1980s parties.  His office mates consider his obsession with the proper use of the semi-colon a curse.

Brad Stevens is the Director of Candidate Identification for Aegis. Formerly an Americans for Prosperity State Director and National Advisory Committee official, Brad has managed multi-million dollar issue advocacy projects that shaped policy at the federal and local levels.  Brad has built extensive networks of grassroots activists and grasstops support for clients, thanks to years of work as a senior staff member for congressional and local political campaigns. Brad graduated the University of Nebraska and recently completed his Masters of Public Administration from Bellevue University.

An experienced political operative, Joe has worked in every aspect of campaigns.  From GOTV organization, communications and fundraising, to TV production, media buying and managing statewide campaigns, Joe has the expertise to guide winning campaigns.  Joe also serves as a strategist and consultant on various public affairs initiatives addressing a host of issues, including education reform, public pensions and transportation infrastructure.

Named after legendary Kentucky basketball coach Joe B. Hall, Joe Hall Burgan has been a Wildcat fan from birth.  He met his wife while attending the University of Kentucky, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in political science.

Julie Treadman, Director of Special Projects, has worked in politics for 15 years. She joined Aegis Strategic in 2014. Previously, she served as Senior Political Account Executive and was responsible for developing and executing voter contact programs for state, federal and presidential clients at FLS Connect. Julie served as a Schedule C political appointee at the US Department of Commerce in the Bush Administration.  She has held a variety of positions at the Republican National Committee in Political, Grassroots Development, Co-Chair’s Office, and Research.  Julie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Northwest Missouri State University and resides in Alexandria, VA.  She enjoys a good office prank, cooking, spoiling her niece, football, and way too much HGTV.

Tommy von der Heydt, Director of Development, has worked in politics for seven years.  He joined Aegis Strategic in 2014.  Tommy also serves as the Deputy Director of Member Relations for Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce, a nonpartisan 501(c)(6) organization that promotes the benefits of free markets and a free society.  Previously, Tommy served as a Senior Development Officer at Americans for Prosperity.  Prior to that he was a staff assistant in the Staff Secretary’s Office of the Bush White House.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Philosophy from the University of Dallas and resides in Houston, TX.  Outside of work, Tommy enjoys chasing his toddler around the house and duping himself into thinking he can play golf.
